the future

is rife

with a limited vision

life

and over warmed tea

and a night sweat

is all there is for

me

the itch on my back

is back and another

session of making like a bear

on the bathroom door jam

because the other is not there

cause my ears to sweat

that is how other it gets

But the neighbours

need their sleep and its been three hours

since the nightly OD siren

has screened by while I think, “die junkie die”

and the base player plays his bit

for an audience

who doesn't

understand it

with each other

I'm waiting for one to perform a step over toe holder

watching a Bernie campaign speech

on an internet stream

filmed by an idiot not given the nod

to keep his fucking camera on a tripod

either that or he is

a jerk off

for the other

side

I did get as chuckle

of the yapping dog

Trump attack ad

for Hillary Clinton

and just got a kick in the butt

from my feminist daughter

cue the suppressed laughter

to a snort and a snicker

that is when you hide your reaction

because it has no traction

and the loud mouthed bullies

are the big attraction

wondering where my shadow goes at night
