EIGHTY + FIVE

JOURNAL ENTRY, 18/05/2016, 02:45 hrs., PDT, Wednesday, myplace, 14°C dark and cloudy, MOOD 50/50

Went to sleep at 8pm after watching a PBS doc. about Cleopatra which I nodded off half way through and then woke up at 01:30 hrs. and couldn't get back to sleep.

Got myself a Telus remote and now my TV feed is not driving me to tears. But like the Springsteen song says, “57 channels and nothing on”

I had 34 friends attend the birthday party and was very pleased and realized just how lucky I have been. First of all being born in Canada, the best country in the world, and living through the wars with no battles being fought on our soil. We Canadians are not perfect but pretty close.

I've spent the last forty three years in the best location in the country as far as climate is concerned, sure it rains a lot but at least you don't have to shovel it or push your car out of the snow banks. People even wear shorts in January although I wish some of them wouldn't.

My two children and their significant others and my grand kids are all healthy and one hopes happy with their lives, none of them have ever disappointed me and the same goes for my friends.

I guess you might say, “I'm a happy camper.”
