THE
SEARCH
the
space is filled with the search
for the evidence of GOD
ignoring the rational reason
that there is none
and knowing even if there was
such a being or thing
how would we deal with “it”
telling ghost stories around the camp fire
the best story tellers have the power
to influence our dreams
and use this power to appease
their imaginary friends
with our obedience to their ancient words
while the band plays on
and
all the prophets are gone
Jesus before he became a Christian
and everyone ignored his words
like now they didn't listen
and went to war under
a suspect banner
but that was before
Jesus became a bearded blond
and the hand maiden of the rich
who were trying to pass
through the eye of the needle
on their camels
on their way to everlasting life
in a heaven ruled by the divine
in this imaginary place of refuge
and the cognitive dissonance
trying to imagine
that impossible equilibrium
while trying to keep from falling
after losing my inner balance
